Stacy Brown-Philpot, the No. 2 executive at TaskRabbit, has been named CEO of the San Francisco company, making her one of the few African-American women leading a high-profile tech start-up in Silicon Valley.
"Over the past three years, Stacy has helped TaskRabbit evolve the platform, launch in international markets and recruit talent at all levels of the company," founder Leah Busque wrote in a blog post announcing she was stepping down as CEO to become executive chairwoman.
